About Vicki Baum Digital
In conjunction with the six-volume edition of the works of Vicki Baum (1888–1960), published by Wallstein Verlag in 2025, the website “Vicki Baum Digital” offers a comprehensive overview of the content for each volume, along with commentaries and materials concerning the creation and publication history of the texts, as well as their reception.
This project marks a significant step toward the rediscovery, reassessment, and literary-historical canonisation of the Jewish author, originating from Vienna, rose to prominence as a star author during the Weimar Republic and later moved to Hollywood in 1932 as a (screenplay) writer.
